It's a renewable residency and therefore grants access to permanent residency.

It doesn't require proving labor activity or entrepreneurial projects since it's based on savings or passive income.

These the are requirements for applicants:
- In Home Country During Application:Being in the country of origin at the time of application
- Clean Criminal Record:Having no criminal record in the country of origin
- Financial Capacity Over 400% IPREM: Demonstrating financial capacity exceeding 400% of the Spanish IPREM (Public Indicator of Multiple Effect Income)
- Private Medical Insurance: Having private medical insurance that covers the stay in Spain
- No Serious Public Health Diseases: Not having any diseases that could have serious repercussions for public health in accordance with the 2005 International Health Regulations.

Required documentation:
This is the necessary documentation for the Non-Lucrative Residency :
- Complete passport.
- Certificate of criminal record from the country of origin.
- Bank certificate accrediting your balance at the time of application.
- Medical certificate issued by your country accrediting that you do not have diseases in relation to the 2005 International Health Regulations.
- Submission of any documentary evidence of economic income:** Property deeds, lease contracts, dividends from companies, etc.
- Certificate of medical coverage from your private insurance, accrediting coverage and duration.
